Since I gave up doing weddings and the like a few years ago, most of my photography could be described as snapshots. I photographed whatever I fancied with no thought to the commercial value of the work. I enjoy the creative process without the pressure of having to please customers.
I have decided to get more serious about photography. That doesnt mean going back to doing weddings, so please, please dont ask me.
I am going to concentrate on stock photography and web content. Though I fear that getting a handle on the computer side of things is going to severely test the few brain cells I have left.
I am by nature a

eople photographer, but I will be shooting more inanimate objects and my portfolio should soon start to reflect that.
My life is at a bit of a crossroads at the moment. I am back in Australia after being a bit of a gypsy for the last five years or so. Ive decided to stick around for a while to build up a good stock of studio shots before I take to the road again. Ive dug out my old studio lights and backdrops from the shed and will set things up this week.
The biggest problem is likely to be finding models out here in the middle of the sorghum paddocks. Toowoomba is not too far away and I noticed one or two models on one of the model sites. Ill contact them when I get set up, or if there are any models willing to travel out to the boondocks please let me know.
I just want to throw out a general question to everyone; why is booze so expensive in Australia? In Japan I can get a bottle of Jack Daniels for $15 and in the Philippines the local rum and brandy is less than $2. Ahh well, back to my $35 Bundy.
